PN:
Note: Joe was smitten (not amorously) by the arrival of snow on the 2nd. His immediate reaction was a back injury redux and an overwhelming desire to hibernate. Two viewings of “Shooter” and all of the “Atlas Shrugged” trilogy, he’s back in fighting form. A little late with the Sunday Rant because there was much more to rant about than usual. Enjoy or not, here it is….
Quote o’ the Month
“A man once defined Hell as a place where there is no reason.” – Michael Savage
Joe’s Comment – What happens when your belief is proven to be wrong? And you can’t escape the reality?
A melt down of course.
How total the meltdown depends on the potential vs kinetic state of the belief, i.e., how far and how much of your thought is divorced from reality?
The above quote is uttered near the end of this clip from a Michael Savage radio broadcast where he speaks with a woman clearly living in her own universe.:
This would be called cognitive dissonance if Jo understood what Dr. Savage is telling her. What is cognitive dissonance? More about this mental “Gordian Knot” next Sunday Rant (5016).
Back to Dr. Savage’s coinage. He remembers a man saying something about Hell that resonates. Perhaps his own Bible reading may be the origin. A quick Google® search found the following:
1. No one but Dr. Savage is credited with this phrase.
2. Ecclesiastes 9: “10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
Note: Ecclesiastes 9 is a good read. In these politically restless times, Joe found the following insightful – 9:13 I also saw under the sun this example of wisdom that greatly impressed me: 14 There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and built huge siege works against it. 15 Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man. 16 So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.
17 The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded
than the shouts of a ruler of fools.
18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war,
but one sinner destroys much good.
Joe says that Dr. Savage has uttered a golden phrase. Note that this individual (Jo) from Boca Raton FL is a free citizen of the U.S.A. She can legally vote! This is more frightening than a 1,000 ISIS assholes invading your town. The health of any nation DEPENDS on virtuous well informed people making rational choices. Good luck with that, Jo. I hope you are good looking physically because your “between the ears” ugly is evident, and you say you are on welfare. Two out of three is bad. The populace of Canada and the U.S. is replete with Jos and Joes, all legal but unqualified voters. doG help us all.
Joe Mekanic recommends the movie “Idiocracy“. A clever work promoted as a satirical comedy but dark as the most vicious horror movie you can imagine.
Canada’s Shame
Justin Trudeau is unbelievable.
He “admires” Fidel Castro.
Castro, the man who is personally responsible for destroying the lives of hundreds of thousands of his own people. The man who is responsible for the murder of thousands of Cubans, his own countrymen. The man whose regime brought the economy of an agrarian Caribbean holiday paradise to ruin.
What a stain.
What an embarrassment.
Joe decided the news of Castro passing would NOT be mentioned in last week’s rant, although Castro died on Friday, November 25th. Fidel Castro’s death is reason for sober reflection, not celebration. It would be travesty to celebrate, travesty to the living Cubans who are literally prisoners on the island, travesty to the estimated 1.5+ million Cubans who fled the island, travesty to the thousands of people who lost their lives fighting his regime, fighting for their liberty. Where the hell was the West when a forced illegal take-over of a sovereign country was perpetrated? This psychopath died with an estimated personal fortune of $900+million USD. No mystery about where he gained such wealth. He bled his “beloved” country dry. The average Cuban income is $20 USD per month.
The time to celebrate will be that time when Cuban citizens are free to move about their own country unfettered, can engage in capitalism openly, are permitted an unfettered passport, when they can assert their natural rights without punitive reaction. The time to celebrate will be when assholes like Castro can no longer pull off the bullshit that put him in power. Joe and I condemn his memory, his revolution, his tyranny. We say throw his carcass into the ocean between Cuba and the United States. Let the sharks and bottom feeders lay him to rest as fecal matter.
Back to the spawn of P.E.T. and the hippy.
Joe and I will NOT post evidence of our fearless Canadian drama teacher sucking Fidel dick. Rather, we WILL post video and articles of other Canadians vocalizing their outrage. First up Michael Campbell (Money Talks, Canadian investment advisor, TV and radio celebrity):
Stefan Molyneux chimes in with his “The Truth About” look at the history of Castro the dicktator (accent on dick). This video is a condemnation of Fidel Castro, of communism, and of the media, the same media that praised communism in the ’30’s. With media support and propaganda that was never questioned, this band of halfwits were successful in seizing control of the country with the support of many of the world’s political leaders. The “Revolution” was a farce. The shame for the murderous behaviour that followed lies at the feet of The New York Times and their ilk.:
The only positive thing Fidel Castro ever did in his life was to have Che Guevera murdered. Che was creating bad press with his habit of killing children….. The student radicals and intellectuals of the left never have that graphic on their tee shirts, do they?
The National Review’s Jonah Goldberg doesn’t spare “The Hairdo” when he says “The gold medal in the Useful Idiot Olympics should probably go to Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada. In a statement, he expressed his “deep sorrow” upon learning that “Cuba’s longest serving president” had died. One can only imagine what George Orwell could do with that one word, “serving.” Castro did not serve; he ruled a nation of servants, often cruelly, while making obscene profits for himself and his family. “Fidel Castro was a larger-than-life leader who served his people for almost half a century,” Trudeau continued, repeating that word. “While a controversial figure, both Mr. Castro’s supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the Cuban people who had a deep and lasting affection for ‘el Comandante.’” Again, where is Orwell’s red pen? “El Comandante”: The term drips with affection, doesn’t it? Castro’s “detractors”? Would those be the families of the thousands he had executed? The survivors of Castro’s Caribbean gulag? Those who didn’t drown trying to escape? Trudeau’s expression of “deep sorrow” was typical of a whole genre of Castro eulogies. His apologists have tended to romanticize the “revolution” and parrot dubious Cuban state propaganda — Literacy rates! Free health care! — while dispensing antiseptic euphemisms for the brutal reality of what the revolution wrought. At least when people note that Hitler built the autobahn and Mussolini made the trains run on time, they’re usually being ironic. To listen to some Castro defenders, you’d think the scales of justice can balance out any load of horrors, so long as the substandard health care is free and the schools (allegedly) teach everyone to read.”
The rest of the article is worth the read.
Canadian author and journalist Terry Glavin (National Post) does not spare the rod either. He explains Trudeau’s turn from “cool to laughing stock“. Terry was so incensed he used a word Joe and I never heard before (thanks Terry!): panegyric – noun: 1. a lofty oration or writing in praise of a person or thing; eulogy. 2. formal or elaborate praise.
How about speculation that Justin is NOT Pierre’s son? That Margaret had a tryst with the bearded wonder (another of her many indiscretions). Not a handsome child, da? Too ugly to be Justin the Hairdo we think…..
She may have been promiscuous. She was and is mentally unbalanced.
Then again, looks like the same kid.
More “Castro is Justin’s dad“. Bullshit or not, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference if he were.
Joe and I are furious this man speaks for Canada.
Joe says it doesn’t matter if Castro is your dad. Bad is bad. What a crock….
Of the many, many, many more comments on the death of “el Comandante” and the morally bankrupt who mourn his passing, the last word goes to Canada’s one and only Rex Murphy, commenting in the National Post.
As of today, December 4th, Michael Ramirez has NOT posted a cartoon about Fidel Castro dying. Or about our mentally challenged feckless Hairdo. This speaks volumes. Castro is not worth two words in the press. Or one Ramirez cartoon. Bravo Mr. Ramirez!
Again, With Feeling
Democracy is mob rule, i.e. 51% rules 49%.
Mob rule is coercion to those not in the majority.
Coercion is bad….. and unnecessary.
You don’t want a democracy, because the only conditions where a democracy has a chance of being just is when the electorate is: 1. virtuous (willing to do what is moral and right for the country / citizenry / others even if it is not in your favor), and 2. well informed (understand the current issues and conditions in order to make a knowledgeable choice or decision).
The United States is a Republic. The Founding Fathers did NOT mention or use the word “democracy” or any of its forms in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution or the Amendments. They didn’t believe in “democracy”.
The website “TheBlessedPath” has a lay definition of how a Republic works, and the importance of the Electoral College.
Pat Condell
A report from across the pond.
Mr. Condell reflects on the culture of Europe now that “migrants” have flooded every country complying with the correct political attitude:
Joe Loves Slovakia
Get on yer knees and praise the clear thinkers of Eastern Europe.
Slovakia has the clarity and perception to understand that Islam is NOT a “religion”, no matter how many people profess adherence. After all, everyone on the left from Obambi down insist that the 29,842 (and counting) deadly terror attacks since 9/11 in the name of the “Religion of Peace®” were NOT representative of representives of the RoP®. Confused yet?
Let’s make it clear: the definition of a religion in the West is a little shaky. We confuse the number of “followers” with some sort of legitimacy. Fuck that.
Slovakia has passed a law to ban Islam being registered as a religion.
Joe wept tears of joy.
Finally some people with balls (and vaginas too).
When the professed objective of your “religion” is to establish a world-wide caliphate, to establish sharia law globally, to subjugate the “dhimi”, to force unbelievers into a second (or third or fourth) class status, that ain’t Western style religion.
Joe says we might emigrate to a country like Slovakia.

Mad Dog Mattis
The Trump administration is being populated in a manner not seen often in American politics. Like a hybrid of “The Apprentice” and the Olympics, what they say seems to be what they are doing: selecting the best of the best when considering all the rest.
Enter the proposed “Secretary of Defense“. Retired 4 star general James Norman Mattis has a long and celebrated career – 44 years – in the Marines.
What Joe and I like about him is his forthright intelligent principled opinion despite the political wind that may blow. He pissed off Obambi which is pure platinum – the community organizer in chief has been a tragedy in foreign affairs, his policies have led to the death of hundreds of thousands and the overrunning of Europe with “migrants”.
The fact that some on the left, some “progressives”, are truly soiling their panties and shouting the sky is falling. That is worth the price of admission right there.
One similar strength he shares with Mr. Trump is a love and dedication to the “grunts”, the “dirt people”, the “average Joe”. A few of General Mattis’ speeches to the troops have engendered legendary quotes that enamor him to the fighting men. Some “Mattisisms” are noteworthy. Taken in context they are strong. Taken as “stand alone” statements, they are guaranteed to inspire the fighting soldier and give the left a heart attack. Here are a few of Joe’s favorites:
– “I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I’ll kill you all.”
– “Marines don’t know how to spell the word defeat.”
– “The most important six inches on the battlefield is between your ears.”
– “I’m going to plead with you, do not cross us. Because if you do, the survivors will write about what we do here for 10,000 years.”
– “Demonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy’ than a U.S. Marine.”
You can read the original sources of these and many other quotes here.

THE RELIGION OF PEACE (ALL OVER US)
There hasn’t been a rant about the “last word of doG’s” gang in a number of weeks.
Joe and I are tired of thinking about it, about them, and about the futility of argument with such cognitive dissonance dancing to the power n+∞.
Thanks to Pat Condell, we don’t have to make the effort.
His biting ascorbic analysis is accurate cutting and focused.
If only the Islamic world had access to his clear thinking!:

SUNDAY SERMON
Today Joe listened to an argument from Professor Jordan Peterson of the University of Toronto. He was supposed to be “debating” with two women people, one a lawyer the other a ??? The debate was supposed to be about Bill C16, a terrible piece of “human rights” legislation that has had three readings in the Canadian parliament. It is probably soon to be “law”. Joe became morose. The language of Professor Peterson was easy to understand, and his frustration at this “kangaroo court” clearly evident. He is in danger of loosing his tenured position due to political pressure from the far wackydoodle left + stupid well meaning hopelessly miseducated students. It is a big deal in Canadian education. If you have a spare hour and one half to become agitated beyond uncomfortable, you can watch it here. Joe doesn’t recommend wasting the time.
For today’s Sunday Sermon, here is Professor Jordan Peterson from his “Personality Lecture Series”, Lecture #13, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and Existentialism. This man is not deserving of the political force being exerted to ruin his life over his refusal to use pronouns other than the traditional “he” and “she” when pressured by minority politics (aka LGBTDFGHIJK hold the mayo):
WEATHER (OR NOT)
This week started like all the weeks in November and late October – mild, wet, cloudy, rain almost every day.
Joe was pleased with the natural gas bill – for October / November the total gigajoules usage compared to last year is about 1/2. Graphic below on bill:
Alas, good weather (relatively speaking) is like good times – uncontrollable and missed when gone.
On December 2nd, the snow came. The temperature dropped. We have cold.
Joe is hibernating most days…..
Joe (sleeping) Mekanic
p.s. Ramirez is a gem –
