Quote o’ the Week
Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Joe’s Comment – Very lofty quote.  However, when the subject is politics, when the ideas are proven false and discredited, when the events are documented and damning, what is left but who dunnit and why, dammit?  This week’s rant has a lot of disrespectful rancor directed at a certain foul-mouthed (see Broomstick One below), criminal, treasonous, deceitful presidential candidate.  The one with the vagina (if that is important to you).  Political history has revealed that there are no perfect candidates for the same reason human history has proven there is no perfect person.  That doesn’t mean evil and corruption are acceptable – in a person or a politician (whom may also be a person – our jury is still out on that point).  Let’s be small minded!  And don’t forget name calling, too.  Ad hominem has an intellectual ring to it……

Picture o’ the Week
Joe and I love cartoons, captioned photos, pictures capturing unique events or scenes.
They all reveal the incredible diversity and depth of humor, intelligence, and understanding the human community holds.  The Internet is the most awesome invention yet.  The entire world can communicate without restriction.  Until the government intervenes of course…..
In all the pictures this week, Joe and I chose the same favorite – the redneck dream catcher.
Find it below

Achmed the Terrorist (and Hillary)
Jeff Dunham is a comic genius and world class ventriloquist.
He also has a political perspective to share:

More Hillary
Bill Whittle uses logic like a fencer uses an épée.
Joe theorizes that the health of the “middle class” is the health of the culture.
Having uninformed voters vote is like having dogs in trucks.
They love to come along for the ride but please don’t let them steer!:

Broomstick One
From Blue’s Blog, some character evidence about Hillarious Rotten Clit-one.
These are quotes from various sources attributed to Mrs. Bill –
1) “Where is the God damn flag? I want the God damn fucking flag up every morning at fucking sunrise”. Hillary to staff at the Arkansas Governor’s mansion on Labor Day 1991. From the book “Inside the White House” by Ronald Kessler, p. 244
(2) “Fuck off! It’s enough I have to see you shit-kickers every day! I’m not going to talk to you, too! Just do your Goddamn job and keep your mouth shut.” Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with “Good Morning.” From the book “America Evita” by Christopher Anderson, p.90

(3) “If you want to remain on this detail, get your fucking ass over here and grab those bags!” Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident. From the book “The First Partner” p. 25
(4) “Stay the fuck back, stay the fuck back away from me! Don’t come within ten yards of me, or else! Just fucking do as I say, Okay!!?” Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail. From the book “Unlimited Access” by Clinton ‘s FBI Agent-in-Charge, Gary Aldridge, p.139
(5) “Where’s the miserable cock sucker?” (otherwise known as “Bill Clinton”) Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer. From the book “The Truth about Hillary” by Edward Klein, p. 5
(6) “You fucking idiot” Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event. From the book “Crossfire” ~pg. 84
(7) “Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those fucking sunglasses! We need to go back! – Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while in route to Air Force One. From the book ” Dereliction of Duty” p. 71-72
(8) “Come on Bill, put your dick up! You can’t fuck her here!!” Hillary to Gov. Bill Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female. From the book “Inside the White House” by Ronald Kessler, p. 243

One Last Condemnation
Joe and I are opposed to any sort of coercion.  That includes soft coercion, paid coercion, weakness coercion as well as do what we say or we will take your property and incarcerate you forever coercion.
We saw a discussion the other day that literally shook our foundation.  Tucker Carlson (Fox News) is a conservative in name.  He was arguing that it is not the fault of the drug users in the U.S.A. that they take drugs!  I.e. he was saying the drugs were there, so people take them.  The opposition was making the factual statement that if there were no drug addicts there would be no drug trafficking.  One of these perspectives is wrong.  Shame Tucker!  Drug users are not forced to do drugs, although they may have slipped into that vortex by peer pressure or mental imbalance or any number of personal forces.  Much like credit card debt, it is much easier to get into than to get out of.
The following short video shows the depths of depravity the DNC will engage to tip the scale in their favor.
doG knows the Democrats don’t have the support of most of white America.  They pander to the low IQ / cultural minority people who do not want to “assimilate”.  Joe and I take that to mean they don’t want to be Americans.  We have a similar problem in Canadian culture: just what is a Canadian, and by what authority is that defined?
What a bunch of scungebucketers:

Of course Hillary Clinton would not approve, nor would the DNC.  They are much better than that…..

When Push Comes to Shove
All our lives Joe and I have been listening to the praises of democracy.
We looked up a definition, ’cause we get confused easily.
Canada ain’t no stinkin’ democracy.  Nor is the good old U.S. of A.
“Why Joe, why David, you are incorrect!” say mild mannered level headed concerned friends.  Those two countries are shining examples of democracies!
We say bullshit.  The part about “government by the people” has been so thoroughly corrupted there is only a vestige of representation of the will of the people in the houses of government.
David Gelernter is a professor of computer science at Yale University.  He has written an oped titled “Trump and the Emasculated Voter“, posted in the Wall Street Journal.  Some of the rage he expresses is common to all Western countries that enjoy “democracy”.  A few quotes from the article to give the gist of the argument –
………….”Mr. Trump’s candidacy is a message from the voters. He is the empty gin bottle they have chosen to toss through the window. The message begins with the fact that voters hear what the leaders and pundits don’t: the profound contempt for America and Americans that Mrs. Clinton and President Obama share and their frightening lack of emotional connection to this nation and its people.”……..
Trump voters have noticed that, not just over Mr. Obama’s term but in recent decades, their own opinions have grown increasingly irrelevant. It’s something you feel, like encroaching numbness. Since when has the American public endorsed affirmative action? Yet it’s a major factor in the lives of every student and many workers. Since when did we decide that men and women are interchangeable in hand-to-hand combat on the front lines? Why do we insist on women in combat but not in the NFL? Because we take football seriously. That’s no joke; it’s the sad truth.”………
The Emasculated Voter to whom no one pays any attention is the story of modern democracy. Instead of putting voters in charge, we tell them they’re in charge, and it’s just as good. That’s the Establishment’s great discovery in the Lois Lerner Age.”……….
We read the article twice.  The anger and frustration is evident, and the underlying question is clear.  Who are we, who do we want to be, and how do we get there from here?

Black Sense
Joe and I have a tin ear when it comes to “Black Lives Matter”, “White Guilt”, “White Privilege”, the United Nations, “The Religion of Peace”, triggers (except for Roy Roger’s horse), micro-aggression, and all of the LGBT, hold the mayo.
Call us every name in the cornucopia of shame.  Na na na na na….
Not only do we not feel bad, we feel good!

Walter E. Williams (professor of economics, George Mason University) has written an oped which tells it like it is, titled “America’s Abandonment of Traditional Values Has Hurt the Black Community“.
Just so happens that Joe and I believe what he’s saying.  Evidence?  A quote (or two) from the article –
Starting in the 1960s, the values that made for civility came under attack. Corporal punishment was banned. This was the time when the education establishment and liberals launched their agenda that undermined lessons children learned from their parents and the church.”
If you look at the social remnants of those days, you know it is true.  Listen to the popular music of the time, watch the Hollywood movies of the day, and you will see the full frontal (pun intended) assault on the “old squares”, the traditionalists, the religious.  Joe and I personally remember the social pressures to abandon “the old ways”, to disrespect your parents, to run with a crowd that defied the social norms of the day.  We were heavily imbued with the allure of the forbidden, to live dangerously, to get away with being a rebel, to cheat our fate.  The life of a social outlaw.  Too cool!
Another pertinent passage –
Customs, traditions, moral values, and rules of etiquette are behavioral norms, transmitted mostly by example, word of mouth, and religious teachings. As such, they represent a body of wisdom distilled through the ages by experience and trial and error.
The nation’s liberals—along with the education establishment, pseudo-intellectuals, and the courts—have waged war on traditions, customs and moral values. Many people have been counseled to believe that there are no moral absolutes. Instead, what’s moral or immoral is a matter of personal convenience, personal opinion, what feels good, or what is or is not criminal.
We no longer condemn or shame self-destructive and rude behavior, such as out-of-wedlock pregnancies, dependency, cheating, and lying. We have replaced what worked with what sounds good.”
All true in Joe’s and my mind.
We have replaced what worked with what sounds good.  Damn!
How dat happen?
The oldest trick in the book (older than prostitution) – appeal to the individual’s appetite(s).  Power, fame, sex, drugs, money, influence, food, candies, little green bottles…..  whatever it takes to get a person to abandon their reason, their morality, their cultural identity, their family and friends, their self, for gratification of personal appetite.
How do you fight this?
Joe and I don’t have an easy for this problem: we think there is no easy.  It takes reflection.  It takes intelligence.  It takes time.  As George Bush often says, it’s hard work.  If you persevere, the reward is attaining adulthood, rising above the base beast we all are to become a “human”.  Learning to live with your appetites without conciliatory defeat.
We agree with Walter Williams in his analysis of the black community problem –
It is the height of dishonesty, as far as blacks are concerned, to blame our problems on slavery, how white people behave, and racial discrimination. If those lies are not exposed, we will continue to look for external solutions when true solutions are internal. Those of us who are old enough to know better need to expose these lies.”
The key is within each human mind.  It is a choice to behave according to a moral code.  It is the responsibility of each individual to be responsible for their behavior, their actions.  C.S. Lewis put it this way – “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
Alas, not all minds are created equal, not all moral teachings are equivalent, not all cultures are respectable.
We found the following quote as a comment left at the following Supremes video YouTube page –
Boy, have we sure lost our way. Young people today have no idea what this time was like. We dressed appropriately and valued modesty in most things. Popular music wasn’t an assault to the ears. Sure they’re were many social ills. But no reason to degrade as we have in the last 30 years. We should have evolved, but instead have turned to being like animals, and livestock. Obesity, tattoos, dressing like a homeless person. Wearing flip flops and shorts to the office. Sad, how quickly it went away. We seem to revere the lowest common denominator in most things now. Out went smart, engaged, and a thoughtful society. In came the Me, vulgar, profane, way of acting. When vulgar convicted felons and low life Rap stars became revered and put on pedestals, as messiahs of wisdom for society, is when I knew the party was over.” – larkatmic

Amen, ladies, amen….

Canadian Black Lives Matter
Bet you didn’t know that the true north strong and free isn’t standing on the sidelines of the current “racial justice” movement plaguing the U.S.A.  The two women featured in this video prove beyond a doubt that when it comes to out-doing and up-staging our American brethren with the most ridiculous asinine low IQ representatives of black womanhood, we got it covered!
Joe and I think Lauren Southern is an awesome example of melanin deprivation.  She is with Rebel Media, Ezra Levant’s internet news organization.  Her lack of melanin is delicious.  Her intelligence and humor delectable.
The two BLM co-founders?  They are what Joe would call stupid twats.  I am more sensitive – I would call them low IQ unfortunates:

Walter’s Multicultural View
Joe and I are fans of Walter E. Williams clear, concise writing.
Especially his perspective on social and cultural issues (see above Black Sense).
Walter has expressed himself regarding multiculturalism in an oped titled “Multiculturalism: A Failed Concept“.  The title pretty well gives his argument away.
No surprise to Joe and I.  We are with the morons on this one.  I quote Cassius Clay aka Mohammed Ali, he of the 72 IQ, when interviewed on British television in 1971 by Michael Parkinson
ALI: “I’m sure no intelligent White person watching this show, or no intelligent White man, in his or her right White mind, want Black boys and Black girls marrying their White sons and daughters. And in return introducing their grandchildren as half brown, kinky head, black people.
HOST: “I would object to that”

[….] “I don’t think I’m any different from you, you see”
ALI: “Yea we much different….you know we’re different, we all together different.
HOST: “Society has made us different”
ALI: “No not society, God made us different”
HOST “No, no, we’re all just human beings, He made all of us.”
ALI: Listen, blue birds fly with blue birds, red birds only be with red birds. Listen, listen, tell me when I’m wrong. pigeons wanna be with pigeons.
HOST: “We have intelligence, we have an intellect they don’t have.”
ALI: “They don’t have intelligence but yet they stay together. We should have more intelligence than them, right? Buzzards are with buzzards, blue birds with blue birds. They all are birds but they got different cultures. The eagles like to hang out in the mountains, the buzzards like to fly around in the desert, the blue birds like to fly around in the trees and the grass”

[Later into the discussion]
HOST: “I think it’s sad that…”
ALI: “It ain’t sad because I want my child to look like me. Every intelligent person wants his child to look like him. I’m ‘sad’ because I want to blot out my Race and loose my beautiful identity?

[….] Who wanna spot up yourself and kill your Race? You a hater of your people if you don’t wanna stay who you are. You ashamed of what God made you? God didn’t make no mistake when He made us all like we were”.
(All this from a man who’s IQ borders the clinical cut-off for legal moronity, i.e., the Words Moron, Imbecile, and Idiot Mean Different Things. … Specifically, those who have an IQ between 0 and 25 are idiots; IQs between 26 and 50 are considered imbeciles; and those who have an IQ between 51 and 70 are considered morons.)
Shades of the Emperor’s new clothes.
If you project this concept to include culture (which is a product of a society), the conclusions made by Mr. Ali are still valid.
You don’t have to be a genius to understand this concept, but you do have to be a progressive to say it isn’t reality.

Joe’s Garage
While browsing the Internet Joe and I saw the following video of a bus (parlor coach) being scrapped.
I thought what a waste of a vehicle!  We (mostly Joe) could save it and make it run again!
Joe said look how well that machine is engineered.  The entire bus can be lifted off the ground with only a portion of the roof.  Amazing strength to weight ratio.  For the most part, built like an aircraft:

Continuing last Sunday’s Stefan Molyneaux train of thought.
This discussion with Jason Richwine is an exploration of facts about IQ and immigration.

WEATHER (OR NOT)

This week in Vernon was definitely a weather week.  Lots of rain, some wind, cloudy almost every day.
The only bonus was it didn’t freeze before Joe managed to winterize the motorhome. The mother of all oak trees in the back yard has dropped a zillion acorns, but still has green leaves among the gold – very few have dropped.
Nighttime temperatures stayed above or at freezing every night.
The threat is real – it is going to get colder!
Brrrrrrrr……..
