Fair DUI
Ever been through a “check stop” by the local constabularianists? I have on many occasions. Years ago, there was the possibility of a discussion with the person representing “authority”. In more recent years, a more militaristic exchange is de rigor – less tolerance, more intrusive.
As flaming theoretical Libertarians, Joe and I think the whole Dragnet approach is not legal. That would be illegal, too. Along the lines of illegal search and / or seizure.
But who has the procedure, the skill, the money, the hutzpah to challenge the mighty forces of the gubbermint in court?
That would be the lawyerly folks.
And folks in a country / state that actually HAS a unapologetic constitution.
Following is a short video of a Floridian using the “fair DUI flyer” to travel through a check stop. It works!:

Being of sound mind and body, Joe and I thought two things (not surprising – there’s two of us in here!). One thought was “How interesting! Using the law to protect your civil rights”. OK, that was my thought. Joe immediately wondered how this would apply in Canada, specifically in BC (that’s where we live).
Alas, BC Canada seems to be a collective. You know, the law is the law, but “the common good” is an acceptable rationale for trampling on individual rights.
BC has very harsh DUI law which is both unconstitutional AND a violation of BC law.
Couldn’t find anything approaching a “Fair DUI Flyer” for BC, or Canada. The most pertinent information is several years old. It DOES reflect a sane judge in Kamloops doing the right thing.

Sanity
Joe and I are Patrick Moore fans. Patrick Moore is a “climate change realist”. A brief reminder:

White Supremacy
Whitey is taking it on the chin everywhere, most specifically, white men of the heterosexual persuasion.
White as a “race” is also a no-no in much of the non white world, and in what is left of the white world.
Who is talking for crackers / pale-skins / honkys / “conkys” (see an extensive list of derogatory terms for white people here)?
Well, Fred is, here. Fred Reed ponders, “Are White Men Gods?” in a rebuttal to Cornel West comments about “white supremacy”.

The comments in both articles are entertaining.
This one by “a6z” caught our attention –

BTW, it should not matter to the argument, but in this day of *ad hominem* nonsense I will note that I am not myself a white Christian man.”

How about some humour to relieve the stress?

The top two cartoons are mocking black behavior, the third someone’s idea of “reality”. I tried to find some humour from the other perspective (black), but there is none I could find in an hour of browsing. Are there no humor? Are there no humor at all?
What I did find was actual Black Panther crap about “killing crackers”.
Those folks have to find a sense of humor…………
