This rant has a large amount of content on “the culture” (as Andrew Klavan is wont to say). Below the fold you will find many comments from many sources. As I grow older the noises I hear from the citizenry around me are becoming foreign and somewhat unsettling. I’m not talking about “invasions from foreign lands”, minorities, special interest groups, whatever. I’m talking about how my set of values, morals, ethics, honour, duty, compassion, empathy, charity no longer seem mainstream. Joe is similar minded. We have become strangers in our own land…..

In the words of Mike Rowe, the demographic has changed. Is it a thinly veiled plot by the “Leftists”? Is it the natural precipitate of a culture that wants for little and has lost it’s sense of pride? Is it animal, mineral, vegetable?

Father’s Day
Today, Sunday, is Father’s Day, and the summer solstice. Life doesn’t get any better!

Looking at the candidates for the big job in next year’s election is bewildering. On the Democrat ticket, Joe and I are amazed that Hilarious Clitman is not behind bars for life, let alone the favoured anointed one. On the Republican ticket, after completely f**ing up the last two presidential elections, there is a cornucopia of candidates of varied ethnicity and background, some new some re-runs, but only one woman.
