Ahhhh. The snow is deep. The vermin are below it all, chewing roots in the icy dirt. May they perish………

BEWARE! SNOW MADNESS!

OH! CANADA

The only legitimate rationale I’ve heard in my life to keep funding the CBC. Viva Don Cherry! Hockey night in Haiti……..:

Canadian Injuns

A piece from The Globe (not Sun TV News). What this issue needs is some good old fashioned polls!:

http://www.globalnews.ca/spence+lacks+support+of+most+canadians+poll/6442789231/story.html

Hesu Krispies! It doesn’t matter jack shit what the public opinion is. Is the law being followed or not? The smallest minority is the individual. All laws must protect the rights of the individual. Natural law and natural rights – http://jim.com/rights.html

In that grand Ontario tradition, there appears to be two sets of laws – one for the Indians and one for the rest of us:

http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/video/featured/prime-time/867432237001/angry-activists/2096753799001

This is a path not to anarchy but violence. Fire them all.

Signs of turmoil in the AFN (Assembly of First Nations):

Dave M. forwarded a compilation of several emails circulating the InterToobs which are skeptical of the “Idle No More” movement. I’ve received one or more numerous times. The “Bettman Apology” at the end is priceless!
I assembled this from a few emails I received –

All of us complacent taxpayers who dole out our hard earned money to the Government to pay these people should have a protest of our own to counter their movement.

“Pay No More”.

We would march and set up barricades in front of their lands and protest that we will not pay anymore until those who believe in Idle No More go to work and actually contribute to Canadian society instead of having this sense of entitlement that Canada is somehow forever indebted because you emigrated to this land before others. Arrogant or what. We need to demand that Ottawa phase out the Indian Act, allocate the land prorata to all (not just a select few) with the same property rights as all Canadians and subject to the same laws. No preferential treatment; all equal under the same laws with no special allotment of moneys or benefits.

PAY NO MORE!

This land does NOT belong to them. Why do some people keep saying that it does? Because that’s what they want you to believe.

1. These people’s ancestors did not just appear in North America magically out of thin air one day 50,000 years ago. They came in waves across the land/ice bridge from Asia. What’s more these waves in many cases were not related groups of people. They came from various places around North Eastern Asia and were from different genetic strains….in other words the natives of North America are not a homogeneous group of people and more importantly…. They are immigrants too, like millions of immigrants today.
2. The idea that the “natives” were peaceful caretakers of the land or benevolent tenants couldn’t be further from the truth. The various tribes warred on each other constantly. They were violent. Want proof? Ask the Huron’s…oh that’s right you can’t. The Iroquois wiped them out. How about slavery that was rife among the first nation tribes until the Europeans came over and freed the slaves and put an end to this “valued cultural tradition”? Is slavery peaceful and humane?
3. The idea that we “stole” this land from them is also ridiculous. A more technologically advanced and numerous culture invaded and conquered. This is exactly what has been happening since the dawn of humanity all around the globe. To say we “stole” their lands is just plain wrong. That is akin to saying the Saxons should return England to the Angles. Or maybe we should launch a campaign to have Roman descendants give Italy back to the Etruscans. It is a nonsensical notion driven by the politically correct bleeding hearts on the left and some intellectually deficient liberals, and it will continue to cost this country needless and wasted billions and billions until we get some backbone and turn off the taps.

Are these people in trouble? Yes. Do they need help? Yes. Are they responsible enough to look after themselves and efficiently spend the billions the tax payers give them? Certainly not.

The only way to fix this situation is to bring them into society as equals. They should be getting jobs and paying taxes like the rest of us because in reality, they are no more special than any of the other hundred or more cultures that call Canada home.

Turn off the taps. Educate their children to become modern citizens, instead of finding their identity and source of pride in some folks who occupied the land 15000 years ago. Let them stand or fall on their own account.

Subject: Bettman Apology — For the Good of the Game

A tearful Gary Bettman apologized to hockey fans today for forcing them to undergo a 3-month lockout.

Although he understood how the fans felt about being deprived of their favourite pastime, he pointed out that, had he not done what he did, by the end of the decade, the average salary of an NHL player might well approach that of a native leader, making hockey as we know it unsustainable.

Sums up the cynical Canadian view, yes?

Canadian Special People

Mark Steyn is exceptional. Earth hour is long past – usually on or near to the Spring solstice. I just came upon the absolute best “earth hour” line ever, from Mark Steyn: “I think it would be appropriate for Earth Hour in the interests of the environment for the Senator to punch Justin Trudeau’s lights out”. From an article by Kathy Shaidle in Takimag: ”http://takimag.com/article/shine_briefly_little_pony_kathy_shaidle/print#ixzz2IAsdRBc9 Don’t know how I missed it last March, but I laughed hard enough to water my keyboard…….. That there is funny!

GUNS (YUM, YUM)

There is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about guns in our culture (ref. Ramirez cartoon way down below in p.s.). Contrary to lore, the true “gun nut” doesn’t run about screaming at the top of his/her lungs eschewing guns, mom, and apple pie. Here is a brief Sean Hannity interview with Jessie Duff, a world champion competitive shooter:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=k97ZpQ6UmZY#!

Jessie Duff was an excellent choice for this educational video. She is attractive, female, well spoken (quote: my 5 year old nephew harvested his first deer…), and totally comfortable around firearms. All the things Barack Obama is not. RICKY D.! Notice how she checked each firearm before she relinquished control?

Why are there fifty-seven-eleven-nineteen varieties of automotive machinery? Ford, Mercedes, Toyota, Kia, even General Motors have unique solutions for the problem. But, what is the problem? The answer is manifold – different definitions of purpose, and close to 7 billion protoplasmic automatrons in the environment, each with his/her/its own prejudices and objectives.

So it is with firearms. A gun is a tool. The hardest pill for Canadians to swallow is that you might need a gun to protect yourself and your family. We have been victims of the “soft tyranny” from the statist mindmolders…… There are bad people in the world. They mean you no good. The irony? The bad people often don’t know they are bad. The sad fact is that you can be bad without realizing it is so. Ignorance or avoidance about guns is bad behavior. They are real, they are in your environment, and you are remiss if you do not school yourself and your loved ones to the best of your ability. This is a responsibility you cannot afford to avoid, defer, or delegate. The police are NOT responsible for protecting you, no matter what it says on the side of the cruiser –

police_smart.jpg 6993904.bin
They are at most the eyes and ears of the judicial service. If they were bound to protect, you could sue them for breach if they didn’t. “Police protection must be recognized for what it is: only an auxiliary general deterrent.” That quote is from the following article: http://www.firearmsandliberty.com/kasler-protection.html

Physical strength and aggressive behavior are gender biased. If this fact seems skewed, check out who the “youths” burning cars in France might be…..

However, firearm skill is NOT gender specific: I believe women are every bit as capable as men. Watch Jessie shoot below and you’ll see a demonstration of her skill. More Jessie Duff (nee Abbate):

[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=3RyYxFHWxT4] – Jessie is amazing! Note the pistol is a semi-automatic. In her hands, it sounds like an automatic.

[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=kybJf46L0qQ] – information about women and shooting – fastest growing gun sector is women’s participation.

What are the benefits of a president who is divisive, polarizing, and acts unconstitutionally? One is in gun ownership. In the last two months Americans have bought an incredible number of firearms:

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2013/01/americans-buy-enough-guns-in-last-two-months-to-outfit-the-entire-chinese-and-indian-army/

I don’t know what the size of the Indian and Chinese armies is, but a quick Intertoob search says it’s north of 3.5 million souls. Or is that Seouls?

Senator Greg Ball on the New York State vote on “gun control”. He criticizes the lack of help for mentally handicapped people, and the ludicrous nature of the law that was just passed. Amen, senator:

Canadian writer Mark Steyn has some observations about crime in America vs Britain, and makes a connection to gun control. The British statistics are appalling. The article is old, but the points are valid:

An article re-printed from the time of the 1992 L.A. riots. Titled “Jew Without a Gun”:

RACISM(?)

The web site ” stuffblackpeopledontlike.com ” is worth visiting. It is humorous, insightful, ascorbic, and plays off stereotypical “standards”. Where did these standards originate? The following article, however, is not humorous:

http://stuffblackpeopledontlike.blogspot.ca/2013/01/david-and-vivian-bouwman-50-years-of.html

I read the article. Then I read the comments. At first, my “racism” counter started clacking…… However, the more comments I read, I realized it was my fear meter. These people voicing their anger are frightened. They are not equipped for their reality. Is the stereotype not that at all, but a generalization of observed behavior? Is it statistically valid? My own experiences with “race” are very limited. A memorable (negative) event was during a road trip with Bob G. and Jim C. We were looking for a beach in California and took a wrong turn. The first stop light we came to I drove through – the “youths” armed with baseball bats and loud curses were coming off the curb in our direction. We didn’t stay around to ask what the issue was. We headed back to the freeway to get the hell out of there. The date? Memory says summer of 1968 (it may have been 1969 – Bob and Jim will know). The place? Los Angeles Basin, looking for Venice or Redondo or some damn beach (Bob and Jim might remember). Three carefree Canuckleheads driving an old MG Midget covered with flower decals (peace, man!) were in the wrong place at the right time. As young men, we laughed it off and went looking for beer and sun. Could have had a different outcome……….

Here’s Ann Coulter (I’d walk a million miles…) stirring the racial pot:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/coulter-on-gun-violence-if-you-compare-white-populations-we-have-the-same-murder-rate-as-belgium/

Data is data. Statistics can be weapons. I refer to this book: IQ and the Wealth of Nations by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen. Not saying it’s gospel, just pointing out that data reflects underlying causality in some cases. Is this one of them? The demographic is NOT insignificant, ever.

Los Angeles public officials make it a dangerous place for drivers. They obviously have a political agenda that has import to them: why else violate state and federal law? Is it “RACIST” (us white bastards?):

http://www.vdare.com/posts/report-unlicensed-drivers-make-los-angeles-roads-more-dangerous

Jack Scott was an Italian-Canadian. He sang this: [youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=FwQTP9avHV0] What in the world has come over us? Who are you going to believe; the political hacks or your lying eyes?

PHILOSOPHER ‘O THE WEEK

Bill Whittle

Bill Whittle.jpg

Bill Whittle has been speaking effectively and creatively as a conservative for years. He is a converted “lefty”, but that’s not why he is this week’s philosopher. The ideas he promotes are well known and not his original thoughts. However, the depth of understanding he has is obvious when you hear his insights, analogies, and metaphors when describing history, the present, and the coming conflicts. Much passion, much rational thought, great imagination. Here he talks about “the culture” at a fund raiser in 2011:

part 1 of 3 – [youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=FB3BcUKmSlo&NR=1&feature=endscreen] – proof that the socialist paradigm doesn’t work – history lesson – human civilization

part 2 of 3 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=vNhtoY_pu7o – 7 conservative beliefs, 4 proofs of American exceptionalism, Titanic analogy

part 3 of 3 – [youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=HHYPJ2HJupQ&NR=1&feature=endscreen] – questions and answers

The following speech has been hailed as the “best speech of 2012”:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgxlp2UJI5I

The timing of the above speech is after the U.S. election and after Benghazi. Further derision of the “zero sum” philosophy of the progressive platform. Examples of the message not fitting the messenger.

SUNDAY SERMON

For maximum reading experience and spiritual alignment, listen to the following while reading this section:

[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=CNQXQKflJNA]

Music is a measure of religion. Christianity wins hands down, no contest, most excellent! The Jew’s music is too narcissistic and maudlin, the Muslims have psycho movie soundtrack wailing, the Hindus are on a perpetual acid trip (twang sproing sturb blat). Christian inspired music soars to the heavens (wherever that might be. Up, I think). Rocket man stuff. Here’s another by Handel:

[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=usfiAsWR4qU]

If that don’t inspire, your spirit is deaf.

Mark 10:19
You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’”

I’m with Mark. Outstanding moral guidelines. A nice number, too. Six.

However, who put the other four commandments in place? The old testicles you say? Moses you say? Let me break it to you: Moses talked to burning bushes…….. Why 10? Why not include some of my favorites? He missed a few, don’t you think? Such as don’t support General Motors, beware Chinese “industry”, have a nice day, don’t wear suspenders with a belt….. For the record, there are potent psychoactive plants and fungi in the middle east: belladonna, cannabis, henbane, mandrake, and lotus are some examples. Entheogens have been employed for millennia: http://www.breakingopenthehead.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1014 Just saying.

As an aside, “organized” religion is very prescient of Frank Herbert’s novel “Dune”. Coincidence? Me think not, sir. As an aside, the book was waaaay more satisfying than the movie IMVHO.

WEATHER

It is January. In Canada. Vernon BC specifically. It’s balmy I am (i.e. crazy, foolish, eccentric). What strange substances are held captive in the pale precipitate o’er the land? A core sample is called for!
Snow%20Sharks%20Cartoon.jpg

iceCore.png

It’s a fine madness it is. I’ve found a third reason for snow!

  1. Snow cools beer fast
  2. Hard water storage a la carte
  3. Stops grass from growing – no mowing

Only 4 months to go…..
