PN:
LAST CALL FOR 2012
Some stellar not-so-funnies
OIL NEWS
Fracking is safe. Not news to anyone anywhere who has a f**king clue about the energy world. It is technology that has been around for over half a century. Do the research and understanding of the latest state of affairs is at your fingertips. The main stream media? Another story:
http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/160973/
With the conflict over energy dependence and what energy means to a sovereign nation, is this not treason? And the disinformation machine is operating in Hollywood:
I smell money. And mobilization of evil. North America has enough energy for centuries. Clean energy. Clean enough to eat off………………
OH CANADA!
Politics aside, I’m proud of the stand being taken by the Canadian government on some world issues:
http://www.torontosun.com/2013/01/05/canada-speaking-up-for-persecuted-christians-in-middle-east
I am, of course, delusional. Expecting rational behavior that is………. Q. Why do all the despots operate on a “zero sum” analog? A. Creative thought has been criminalized and punished in their cultures.
THE INDIAN INDUSTRY – (aka Why do today what you can put off ’til tomorrow?)
Attawapiskat (what’s for dinner?)
Update and information on the Indian Industry in general, and Attawapiskat specifically: You might notice most of the data is presented by Sun TV News. Where are the others? This disgrace is not unique. Reiterate ad nauseum after me: the smallest minority is the individual. All law must be written to ensure the freedom and natural rights of the individual. If done, there are no requirements for “special interest” consideration. There are no “Indian Nations”, or “First Nations”, or prima facie evidence of the same. The treaties signed by their leaders of yore ceded ownership of the land to the extant government. Also, there may not be sufficient evidence remaining of a “culture” that can survive outside a museum. The fine points of the argument will be ground out over time by brighter minds than mine.

Dave M. sent a few articles about Attawapiskat along. Some new and some older info. All from Sun TV News:

Here’s the auditor’s report of the fiscal activity in Attawapiskat (via Sun TV News):

Here is Ezra Levant commenting on the audit (via Sun TV News):
And Michael Coren (via Sun TV News):
Looks like I’m shilling for Sun TV News. I would like to get a Sgt. Friday view of the world (just the facts ma’am). At present, Sun TV News comes closer than the others. The main stream media doesn’t give much more than a “reach around” to their pet ideology or cause (if you are not squeamish, a definition of “reach around” is here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=reach%20around ). Just reporting the facts ma’am…….
Further developments from Ottawa. Apparently, the “Indian Chiefs” think that the British crown is going to tell the immigrants in Canada to take a hike! Meanwhile, the hunger strike maven is not making any sense:
http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/video/featured/prime-time/867432237001/enough-is-enough/2088643359001
Maybe I’ll get to be a citizen of the U.S. of A. after all…………..
Here’s a nice picture of Theresa Spence sitting in her Hummer:
http://www.stephentaylor.ca/2013/01/theresa-spence-living-it-up/
Ezra Levant does a summary of the situation here:
http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/video/featured/prime-time/867432237001/vague-demands/2086292779001
After listening to the chiefs, Ezra makes plenty ‘o sense.
The expression “it ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings” has never been more on point or appropriate. My guess is Spense will move from “hunger strike” (with or without fish soup) to “nervous breakdown”. Of course, it will all be Stephen Harper’s fault, and by extension, Whitey’s® fault. I’ve never been more proud to show my (lack of) colors – I IS WHITE!
Here’s my all time favorite fat lady (Maria Callas was very large in her early career) singing about cultural impact:
[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=mN9Dipgqdtw]
Maybe this generation worth of “negotiations” will “solve” the problems. More likely not. More tragi-comedy to come. Will they name the mini series “Attawapiskat Here I Come”? Here’s Al Jolson (in black-face) singing the original:
[youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=gsKbz6ulOfQ]
Stay tuned.
Caledonia (oldies but goodies)
More Indian Industry® stuff you may not be aware of regards Caledonia and the “Mowhawk Nation”. I linked to many articles (from Sun TV News) during the disgraceful episode in previous PN rants several years ago. Here are a few to remind you that there is no “static” position on the lever of change. A website that is a good review starting point:
http://www.caledoniawakeupcall.com/
The Idiot Uprising at Caledonia is a prime example of racism. Repetez aprez-moi –the smallest minority is the individual. All law must be written to ensure the freedom and natural rights of the individual. If done, there are no requirements for “special interest” consideration. This gives MY homeland a reputation I don’t like one bit. That of a pandering political elite that will use the coercive power of the police to their advantage. Shame on Ontario’s politicians and police administrators.
I’m not anti Indian. Another sad day that was much maligned by the press and brought shame to Canada and Ontario was the Ipperwash Crisis. NOBODY should be skewing the facts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipperwash_Crisis I’m not implying that shooting Dudley George was justified. The occupation of a Provincial Park that wasn’t the contested reserve land is the point. And the political solution that brought death instead of the application of law exacerbated and prolonged the confrontation while clouding the core issue.
HOME OF THE BRAVE
Benghazi will linger for years. This article points to incompetence and procedural negligence in the administration:
No conspiracy. Oh ship of fools………….
Gun debate rages. Chimpanzees in Congress hooting and screeching. It takes a marine to tell them where the bear shit in the buckwheat (thanks for that expression, Charlie):
http://www.sondrakistan.com/2013/01/03/slam-maam-thank-you-bam/
Any bets he will attract attention to himself by signing the letter? Brave man. Which reminds me of a video I saw about an event in Athens, TN in 1946:

ONLY IN AMERICA
1) Only in America could the rich people – who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their “fair share” by people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.
2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while only 12% of the population is black
3) Only in America could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
4) Only in America can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
5) Only in America would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just ‘magically’ become American citizens.
6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as “extremists.”
7) Only in America could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year – for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.
10) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.
11) Only in America can a man with no background, no qualifications and no experience … and a complete failure at his job … be reelected.
Why is America in the Middle East? Why is anyone in the Middle East? More evidence they are not culturally equivalent:
http://suckersonparade.blogspot.ca/2013/01/army-acknowledges-pedophilia-part-of.html
What a logical disconnect. Get out, and arm Israel to the teeth. Let them sort out their own demented issues…… (My Libertarian leanings surfacing).
Guns, and gun violence. Protecting our children, especially the youngest. Neutering the entire populace will not defend them against the evil doers. There is nothing wrong with being a sheep. Conversely, there is everything right about being a sheep dog. I refer to a Bill Whittle article called “Tribes”, from 2005:
http://www.ejectejecteject.com/archives/000129.html
I read it in 2005 after Katrina, and I re-read it today to see if it still made sense. If you don’t understand his points, you will never understand why disarming the citizens is evil. This is the reason I now believe that the culture really determines the political system that comes to govern. For example, Cubans for the most part, don’t mind their oppressive regime. The Cubans who don’t like it agitate until they’re killed or locked in prison, or try to make it to Florida to fight another day. So sad for Cuba that the number of sheep dogs is low, the number of wolves is high, and the sheep are sheeple pink. It is so everywhere there are humans. If this ratio gets out of wack, balance is lost. I’d like not to believe that last statement, but observation and study is damning to disbelief.
BLINDING ME WITH SCIENCE
My belief is that all life on earth is suffered at the benevolence of the sun. You can argue all de doo dah day about God and the order of life on earth, but the scientific fact remains: the sun provides us shelter and sustenance. And light during the day so we can see what needs to be done…….. except here in the Okanagan where the sun bids us fond adieu in October and comes a knockin’ some time in April.
You can imagine the impact of the following article on a man with my beliefs:
http://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/essays-and-commentaries/the-sun-crashes
In the last decade, there has been unusual sunspot calm periods. What is the consequence? Some info:
http://www.space.com/11962-sun-solar-activity-lull-earth-effects.html
The exact mechanism whereby the sun influences our weather is unknown. The connectivity and number of variables is complex. Other than the statement that a correlation exists, there is no “theory of everything” ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_everything ). However, from the analysis of historical data, long periods of little or no sunspot activity are followed by cold temperatures on earth. More sun info here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_energy
This quote from the above wikipedia article is incredible – The amount of solar energy reaching the surface of the planet is so vast that in one year it is about twice as much as will ever be obtained from all of the Earth’s non-renewable resources of coal, oil, natural gas, and mined uranium combined,
That energy amount is 3,850,000 Exajoules (or 3.85 Yottajoules. Yotta = 10 to the 24th power). In comparison, the United States uses 94 Exajoules per year. This includes everything ENERGY related, such as gas, oil, uranium, hydro, etc…… even cow farts.
Geopolitics and energy are combining to change the world. This article is very informative and thought provoking:
http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/138597/aviezer-tucker/the-new-power-map?page=show
A world in which the U.S. of A. is energy independent will be extraordinarily comfortable for Canadians.
Recent information on the long term effects of marijuana consumption:
http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/07/legalizing-of-marijuana-raises-health-concerns/
As usual, lots of pro and con supporters of the observations. Makes it hard for young people to find a path……..
If Global Warming® was real, it would NOT be politicized to the extent that the UN would threaten legal action for viewing the data they are using to make their position statements. But they are, ergo, it ain’t (nothin’ but a hound dog [youtube http://youtube.com/w/?v=ZXiulKIgGpg] ):
http://nofrakkingconsensus.com/2013/01/08/the-secret-santa-leak/
I say Canada: leave the corrupt organization called “The United Nations”, quadruple our armed forces, and expand our trading horizons with stringent guidelines (human rights for example). For example, I know ALL of you Canadians will go to or want to go to Cuba. I will NEVER go there under it’s current political masters.
Remember Paul Ehrlich and population explosion hysteria from the ’70’s? (If not, review here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Population_Bomb ) Seems like he didn’t have it figured. Schrumpf-Gessellschaft is coming!:
It’s no mystery why the western cultures have all experienced lessening birthrates. Improve the living conditions of people with wealth, health, and unbiased education for all (when women are emancipated, the birth rate drops). I say liquid fluoride thorium reactors for power in all the third world countries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_fluoride_thorium_reactor (run and operated by westerners until the indigenous population is “up to cultural speed”). I AM the (mercury free) mad hatter.
From Bernie M., a link to a video entitled “Tour of the ISS”:

I remember the late ’50’s – Sputnik, Telstar, Yuri Gagarin, and my favorites, Tom Corbett (Space Cadet), Astro, Roger Manning, and the rocket ship Polaris (the last 4 mentioned are from the Tom Corbett – Space Cadet series written by Carey Rockwell). Watching the video of the International Space Station is awe inspiring. It takes science and technology decades to make real just a small portion of Tom Corbett’s world……….. Thanks for the link Bernie!
AMAZING AND PHENOMENAL AND EXTRAORDINARY AND SPECIAL
This is not a “Photoshop” moment. It is a unique picture of a child being born. Canada’s abortion laws DO NOT protect this child –

Three Stages of Life:
- Will be

I saw this critique of the “Occupy Wall Street” culture. Best I’ve seen to date. Must save! –
It was on this web site: http://the53.tumblr.com/ The “53%” is the percentage of Americans who actually pay taxes. Interesting entries. Their parents / friends / environment / self motivation have helped them build a self sufficiency mostly missing in today’s individuals.
Just read an article stating Obama has been rated the 4th best president of the United States. Here’s the gist of the article –
Obama has been rated the 4th best president ever –
Reagan and 9 others tied for first, 15 presidents tied for second, and 18 other presidents tied for third.
Obama came in fourth.
A perfectly acceptable and legitimate proposal to provide welfare to the needy masses:

I’d also drop the “wearin’ o’ th’ sheets” look. A chain propelling a motorbike at 50kph would pull that crap off in short order. To say nothing about the rider……
Sharia law – woman’s worst friend.
Was I speaking of wack jobs? Noodle heads? Ass hats? Maroons? Seeing as though you brought it up, let’s talk about who “discovered” America:

Just once I’d like to see the good old U.S. of A. deal these people a serving of their own cooking.
PHILOSOPHER O’ THE WEEK
This week, Thomas Sowell – “The great escape of our times is the escape from personal responsibility.”
There are many recorded discussions with Mr. Sowell on YouTube; the best of which come from the Hoover Institution. Here he is with Peter Robinson discussing “Dismantling America”:

Two incredible books of his I have read so far are:
