Sunday – Climate Is Relative

PN:

I, like many (most?) people of my generation, love the popular music of the ’60’s.

I also like the popular music of the ’50’s, ’40’s, and ’30’s. (The ’20’s is kinda strange….)

Since the ’70’s, I’ve found less and less to rejoice about (popular music wise).

Is it a function of age (experience / wisdom / good looks)? Or…..

This is an interesting article about the major / minor modes music is written in, and why it means something to us (as humans):

I found the comparison to classical music history quite fascinating. The real dirt comes in the comments section. Read on MacDuff!

Humor never fails. Look at these two images –

Two (at one time) common expressions. Makes you smile if not guffaw…… Is SnorgTees the final destination for all punsters? Or is it just people that don’t hear the lyrics right (words / expressions / thoughts)? Check some more of them out:

Would that I could design T shirt logos….. A few more from http://www.roadkilltshirts.com/

Here’s another piece ‘o brilliance from an artiste:

A good use for cats! (Outside of the primary function of ball bearing mouse traps).

How about them Canadians! Entering a contestant in the wackiest pervspaz humanoid contest! Gay too. AND a porn star to boot. I have no words (worth keyboarding). Thanks to Kathy Shadle I don’t have to:

Your eyes influence everything you perceive. Don’t believe it so? Watch this video animation of a performance of “O Fortuna” and tell me that’s NOT what they are singing:

Here you have the same music, with the Latin lyrics:

Did you hear what you read or saw? Thought so……

All the great science fiction writers (righters) of me yoot are fading away… Ray Bradbury is the latest:

Didn’t read much of the old lefty, but Fahrenheit 451 was turned into a ridiculous movie……

The Canadian Human Rights thought police suffered a setback yesterday – repeal of sections of the act (specifically, the notorious “section 13”). Article here:

To celebrate the victory for free speech (or the skirmish won), here’s a fellow named Topher with a well thought fast paced support of free speech from down under:

And additional comment from or two from Mark Styn:

Could this lead to even more bold revisions? Here’s Canadian MP Larry Miller questioning Canada’s involvement with the United Nations:

Scott Walker won the recall election in Wisconsin. The left went bananas, but without incendiaries. Here’s a marvelous satirical vid of what transpired in Oyama’s “bunker” when the news surfaced:

One of my favorite reads is “Dr. Sanity”. She is back on the blogline doing her best stuff. Do yourself a good deed and take a look at her analysis of “self denial”:
