Much like the VHS vs Betta duel of 20 years ago, the uranium vs thorium reactor battle was won by the inferior process with political wrestling and warfare in mind. This is the unit the Chinesers say they will miniaturize to a package small enough to be highly mobile – i.e. a space vehicle. All I can say is if the quality I see at the stores I frequent is indicative of their capability, this miracle reactor will be a while in the making.

I say down with a political environment that allows someone to become a “professional politician”. The USA founding fathers had it right – serve your term and go back to your life. George Washington was such a man. Today, February 4, was the day he was unanimously elected the first president of the United States. When he finished his term, he went back to his land and continued his life. We have Senators on pensions. Many of them have done nothing for Canada. Their claim to fame is bruised lips from kissing the heinies of the “fearless leaders”. Harrumph, harrumph, where is the trough?
