Sunday Rant – 1721

Joe’s Comment – All worthy thoughts.

To PN (Personal Network)
Joe and I like the closing statement Jericho Green uses to complete his videos: “You know how it goes: I try to be done with the Left, but they just won’t let me“.
What we don’t like is how absolutely valid this statement is – because the loss of liberty and freedom which accompanies a tyrannical Progressive agenda is always next.
Our Sunday Rant is a review of the week.  What attracts our attention.  How we respond to events.  Some humor (or humour for nous sommes Canadiennes), some technology (Joe loves him some tech!), some science, some music, some of what makes life worth the living.
A quote from St. Augustine of Hippo captures our current state of mind –
Joe and I are pissed.
Our anger has been on display in this rant for many years.
We have plenty of anger, a cornucopia of anger.
Courage is another issue.
Like “The Little Engine That Could“, we think we can, we think we can!
Unfortunate for us, we aren’t sure when courage is required.
Or what to do and how much courage and which hill to die on.
The latest absolute piss off is social media suppressing a study on the efficacy of masks, purportedly published by Stanford University.
Whether Stanford U. published the paper (Stanford denies it) or not, THERE IS A PAPER!
With a little (that is, not much) effort, we found it.  You can found it too, here.
The paper is the work of Baruch Vainshelboim, an Israeli doctor who briefly studied at Stanford.  Stanford is denying they published the paper, and their lack of support for it is evident.  But they do NOT discredit the paper.
If you take the time, like Joe and I did, to register with SCRIBD then download the paper, you will read what this researcher learned about masks.  Nothing new, by the by, just affirmation of what was already known.
Here is a quote from the paper:
The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks. Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.” – CRediT authorship contribution statement Baruch Vainshelboim: Conceptualization, Data curation, Writing original draft.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, our daft fearless leaders keep breaking the law with all the coercive power vested or not in their positions.
Joe and I don’t have a modicum of compassion for these dolts.
Here are two very interesting and important videos about what in the world is happening in the medical industry.
Henceforth referred to as the Medical Industrial Complex.
First, Dr. Carrie Madej and Dr. Andrew Kaufman discuss the hanky-panky the medical industrial complex is conniving in the back rooms with governments everywhere.
Joe and I are furious.
We talk about the world’s various and sundry “Nazi Scientists®” peeking under doG’s skirt with impunity.  Time to get control of this research…..
Why oh why do we continue to frighten the children?
We are waiting for justice to grind the politicians, the governments, and the dread medical industrial complex into molecular dust.
Joe says we may run out of time, waiting for the miracle:

Second, Professor Dolores Cahill tells all (thank you Ms. E. Thrasher).
Joe and I wonder why this information is not front page news around the world.
Well, we don’t know about the rest of the world.
What about the Western World™?
The good doctor and her cabal have forced the Irish government to correct the COVID-19 death statistics.  Listen to the video.  The real number causes the audience to gasp.  This is courage.
We are fans of heroes like Dr. Dolores Cahill.
She is leading a crusade to call the medical community to be accountable (including your personal doctor).  Prophylactic and therapeutic methods exist and are proven.  Your doctor is responsible to prescribe them.  At point of law.
Joe has been arguing for accountability from government and the medical industrial complex for a long time….
Malfeasance is a wonderful word and a terrible condemnation.
Misprision is harder to say, just as hard to spell, and equally deserving of condemnation.
Live long and prosper you wonderful woman (Joe likes the fur collar on her jacket, too):

Sorry for the upper case…..

Rudyard Kipling
Joe and I don’t much like the bad rap given to Rudyard Kipling.
From our perspective, he told it much as it was.
Joe says it still is as it was, muchly.
Here is the poem called “Gods of the Copybook Headings“.
Vaticination to our mind.
Read it and see if you agree –

Alberta Doctors With Balls (i.e. Moxie, testicular fortitude, courage)
Joe and I have been yodeling for over a year about the foolish and dangerous use of face diaper masks to stop the spread of a virus.
We have bitched about the inconsistency and lack of a concrete plan that works for We The People, sadly lacking from the various levels of government.
We have groused about the government’s ham-handed, daft, blundering, cudgel-like, ineffective and deadly (think New York) approach to a problem they don’t understand.
We signed on to the Great Barrington Declaration early, and beak off about it to this very day.
We haven’t worn a mask.
We post copious information on our rant about the so-called “pandemic”.
Aren’t we the Crusader of the Week™?
Why do we care and do and say what we do?
It’s like this…..
Unlike millions of others, Joe and I (especially Joe) paid attention in Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Math and any other class we took that had to do with reality.
We recently were gifted a copy of “Perry’s Chemical Engineers’ Handbook” Sixth Edition 1984 (thank you Ricky D.).  It has 27 sections, totaling 2,232 pages of information, data, processes, and is the sum and total of what was known at the time about the beautiful study of chemistry (not the kind of chemistry with arrows and hearts and flowers and chocolates and mooing songs).
Similarly, there exist compilations of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Geology, et cetera (mostly the work of Judeao-Christian white MEN from the Western culture – but that is another argument).
A current used hard-cover copy of the “Chemistry and Physics Handbook” 100th Edition 2019-2020 can be had for several hundred American dollars.
These brilliant works did not pop out of a chicken’s ass!
Thousands of men and women have toiled for centuries to produce this knowledge, some at the cost of their lives.
For the sake of humanity, look at the fucking science before tarring and feathering indiscriminately!
Joe adds that when you know who the culprit(s) is/are, do NOT hesitate – tar and feather with extreme prejudice.
Part of the problem is that Canada, like most of the Western nations, is supposedly a “nation of laws”.
What utter BullShit!
The very first thing our fearless leaders do in an apocalypse, a tsunami, a pandemic, disaster, an outrageous act of nature….. a war….. the very first thing they do is BYPASS THE LAW.
What can we do?
We’re sure many would like to tar and feather a bumbling bureaucrat or politician.
Alas.  As soon as you vanquish one of these parasites, these leaches, these hogs at the trough, even more pop up out of nowhere.  Like the fabled Lernean Hydra.
We’re more civilized.
We can get behind a class action suit against the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments for child abuse, breach of law, infringement of freedom and free speech, and whatever else the legal buzzards can hallucinate.
And boy oh boy can those legal buzzards hallucinate – we refer to the current American Tragedy re: Dereck Chauvin.  What a crock of shit, and miscarriage of that much maligned term “Justice”.
A class action suit will take decades and will be lost in the fog of history almost immediately, or as soon as the next crisis pops.  And pop it will…..
Joe and I listened to these Alberta doctors who have the temerity to challenge our overlords with facts, data, information, and proven solutions.
Joe says these men are very brave and deserving of recognition.
On the left is Dr. Rodger Hodkinson, on the right is Dr. Dennis Modry.
If you watch this video do your family, friends, and neighbors a good deed – send the video to them, have them watch it, then engage in polite but firm conversation.
To Dr. Hodkinson and Dr. Modry, bravo and well said!:

Human Cell
Joe and I are big fans of technology.
We are a “gear head” – any sort of machine that does work for humans is as interesting as all get out.
This picture is frickin’ amazing! –

I see a complexity that challenges the best the cognizant, creative, collaborative, and conscious mind of humanity has ever concocted.
Joe sees a colorful city from 20,000 feet (6,096 metres).
Sometimes Joe lacks imagination…..

Dr. Chris Knobbe
Joe and I have included subject matter experts on vegetable, fruit, and nut oils in past rants.
Dr. Chris Knobbe is passionate about seed and grain oils.
He suspects (and data supports) the theory that modern diseases like heart attacks and obesity are caused by excessive consumption of the wrong sort of fat.
We agree.
The spectacular ability of humans to survive while consuming a vast variety of edibles is a double-edged sword.
Yes, humans can survive on inferior and downright deadly foodstuffs, but the perfect diet is comprised of more selective sources of nutrition.
There is some convincing data for contemplation in this video, “Diseases of Civilization: Are Seed Oil Excesses the Unifying Mechanism?:

Popeye the Sailor Man
What can we say?
One of our favorite characters.
Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall brought new meaning to our fav sailor.
One of our favorite movies.
From the website “Nobody Asked Me“, a story about the real Popeye:
“His real name was Frank “Rocky” Fiegel. He was born in 1868 in Poland and, as a child, immigrated to the United States with his parents, who settled down in a small town in Illinois.  As a young man, Rocky went to sea.  After a 20 year career as a sailor in the Merchant Marines, Fiegel retired.  He was later hired by Wiebusch’s Tavern in the city of Chester, Illinois as a ‘Bouncer’  to maintain order in the rowdy bar.
Rocky quickly developed a reputation for always being involved in fighting ( and usually winning)..  As a result, he had a deformed eye (“Pop-eye”). He also ‘always’ smoked his pipe, so he always spoke out of one side of his mouth.  In his spare time as a Bouncer, Rocky would entertain the customers by regaling them with exciting stories of adventures he claimed to have had over his career as a sailor crossing the ‘Seven Seas.’
The creator of Popeye, Elzie Crisler Segar, grew up in Chester and, as a young man, met Rocky at the tavern  and would sit for hours listening to the old sailor’s  amazing ‘sea’ stories.’  Years later, Segar became a cartoonist and developed a comic strip called ‘Thimble Theater.’  He honoured Fiegel him by asking if he could model his new comic strip character, ‘Popeye the Sailor Man,’ after him.  Naturally Fiegel was flattered and agreed.
Segar claimed that ‘Olive Oyl,’ along with other characters, was also loosely based on an actual person.  She was Dora Paskel, owner of a small grocery store in Chester. She apparently actually looked much like the Olive Oyl character in his comics.  He claimed she even dressed much the same way.
Through the years, Segar kept in touch with Rocky and always helped him with money; giving him a small percentage of what he earned from his ‘Popeye’ illustrations.”

Gad Saad
A great Canadian.
Joe and I have featured Gad Saad in our rant many times before.
The sarcasm is strong in this one:

Sky News AU
Joe and I are fans of Australia’s Sky News channel.
As one of the commenters, Chuy Gonzalez, pointed out, “That awkward moment when Australian news is more credible coverage on America than American news outlets“.
Take a gander and see if you agree:

Dr. Shawn Baker
Wednesday Dr. Baker talked about the futility of using a mask.
Joe and I are not orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Baker is an orthopedic surgeon.
Joe and I have worn a mask in the past; up to and including N95 type.
At the end of the day, that substance you are trying to prohibit from entering your nose or mouth coats your face and nostrils and lips.
Joe says if it gets that far, maybe some gets inside too…..
Our story is our story.
Listen to Dr. Baker:

Another gem from Dr. Baker on Thursday.
He surmises that the W.H.O. (World Health Organization) has changed the definition of herd immunity.
Instead of natural immunity won by exposure and recovery, the W.H.O. is suggesting the herd immunity will be accomplished with a vaccine (or series of vaccines).
Joe and I aren’t experts; we’re Mud Peckers.
Us Mud Peckers have been way down the hierarchy of social impotence importance since the dawn.  Near the bottom, we reckon.
Natural immunity via exposure and recovery has been our modus.
Joe and I think the W.H.O. is more political than medical, more tyrannical than cooperative.
We also think that those Curious Georges, those Nazi Scientists©, those who “boldly go where no man has gone before” by peeking under doG’s skirt, are potentially endangering all of humanity.
Joe and I don’t know how this essential research (must be done) can be done safely, ethically, morally, and humanly.  We don’t give a fig about legally – when has the law ever stopped a criminal?  Maybe like pornography and art and music, we’ll know it when we see it and hear it.
Here is the Thursday morning Dr. Baker wake-up call:

A good week for the good doctor.
This is Sunday’s video, where Shawn interviews Frank Fitzpatrick, a regenerative ranching practitioner.  The man knows his business.  His ranch is 5 Bar Beef in Orange County, CA.
What is it with progressives and vegans and other idealists who cannot leave the rest of us alone to follow our own path?
Government forced vegetarianism?
Joe says eat shit, government:

A choice from many we watched this week.
This is a great Ub2b channel (We Are Top):

Steven Crowder
Joe and I wax and wane in our following of Steven Crowder.
He and his crew have a Ub2b channel here.
They recently won a court case against Ub2b: there is a good chance this particular video will be available for some time.
This episode appealed to us.
Your mileage may differ:

Joe’s Garage

Hell’s Gate
There is an off road park in Moab, Utah.
Hell’s Gate is a very steep narrow pass in that park.
The vehicle is a stock F250 4X4.
Joe says it is a curiosity that people do this for fun.
I think it is cool how everyone is working to help this happen.
We both think it is very cool when they cheer.
Joe wonders where the footage is of unsuccessful attempts:

P.L.U.T.O., Bambi, and Dumbo
The Second World War was a hotbed of technological innovation and advancement.
One of the logistical challenges of the D-Day invasion of Normandy (Operation Overlord) was the supply of millions of gallons of fuel (that would be Imperial gallons, Spanky) to keep the war machines in action.
Some brilliant Englishmen suggested building a pipeline from England to France.
Why the hell not?
And they did.
Bambi came first, then Dumbo.
Here is a brief video about the project with plenty o’ actual film footage.
Joe and I have nothing but admiration and praise for English smartypants-ing:

Sunday Rant – 1621

Joe’s Comment – What could the above sentiments have in common?  I say they exemplify the greatest part of individuality.  The number of clever, witty, thoughtful, and free thinking people who create these treasures is a blessing!  This level of sarcasm, irony, and humor is available 24/7 on the Internet.  The few examples I posted above tickled my fancy, as did the many below the fold.
I wonder: how many more excellent folks are there who don’t post to the Internet but have these marvelous insights?
When I come near the edge and think I’m losing control of my behavior, all it takes is a few minutes (OK, OK, more like a couple of hours) on the Internet to defuse my counter-productive tendencies.  It is addictive!   The brilliance of humanity is scattered everywhere, for all to see (thank you Ms. E. Thrasher).
Personally, I’m still working on my first cartoon.  It has taken 72 years.
That might be the punch line…..

CORONA Ad Nauseum
Joe and I have some desk time today (Saturday) – it is an auction day at our favorite on-line auction house – Dodd’s Auction, in Vernon BC.
Why our favorite?
‘Cause it’s in our home town (don’t need shipping or cartage costs on top).
On line auctions are fun: you needn’t dress up or go anywhere except to your computer to guard your bids and defeat the evil snipers.
Which spares up time for a Joe and Dave summary of what we personally believe is known….. about the dread pirate COVID.
Facts we know from data:
–  it ain’t a pandemic, by definition
–  “normal” flu deaths have mysteriously dropped to near zero
–  the “virus” hasn’t yet been isolated
–  the PCR process does NOT test for illness – inventor Dr. Kerry Mullis
–  no one is dialing in the influence of the aging Baby Boomer population
–  if you are elderly you are more susceptible – especially with “preexisting” medical issues
–  young people and children are virtually immune (barring preexisting etc.)
–  the use of vitamin D3 and hydroxychlorquine has been very successful as a prophylactic and treatment around the world – banned in North America (???)
–  N95 and lower “masks” do NOT stop viruses, but they DO have negative health effects
–  any one of the “vaccines” does NOT guarantee immunity
–  adverse effect data is mounting: stop vaccinating orders in various countries
–  politicians are NOT doctors
–  good people are being harmed irresponsibly and coercively by bumbling bureaucracy
What to do?
Watch the following two videos for starts.
First, Dr. Ryan Cole explains what we know as science about COVID:

Second, Dr. Ryan Cole explains (a few weeks later) what we know about the law, the risk, the factors involved:

If you watch both of these videos, you will know that what is happening is not a “vaccination” – it does not meet the definition of vaccine.
If you still think taking a chance (natural immunity 99.98% vs 95% with vaccination) with this “investigational study” and you have watched the above videos, good luck.  You are taking a chance that you need not take.
Instead, make sure your vitamin D levels are sufficient – take a supplement if not.
Ensure your magnesium and zinc levels are sufficient – take a supplement if not.
If there is an onset event that tests positive, find a doctor to prescribe Ivermectin.
It’s the immune system, stupid!
One last thought.
The cowards who are mandating children must wear a mask are guilty of child abuse.
Joe and I hope to live long enough to see them punished.
Who will save the children?

Dr. Eric Berg
Joe and I have been watching videos from Dr. Berg for quite some time, and as recently as Sunday Rant – 0221.
I watch Dr. Berg, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Robert Cywes, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Jason Fung, and many others trying to understand just exactly what diet makes our “mature” body perform at maximum.
Knowing damn well that our 72 year old maximum is a far cry from our younger year outputs.
Here is Dr. Berg with some excellent information about fasting (also Dr. Fung’s specialty):

Joe’s Garage

Australia Gear Heads
The following video is mainly a discussion about building a Ford “Barra” in-line six cylinder engine for high output.
In this case, the high is outstandingly high: approaching 2000 hp!
The Barra I-6 is 4.0L in displacement.
The engine is on the dyno at Dandy Engines, Carrum Downs, AU.
Frank Marchese is the engine builder.
Joe says automotive performance in Australia is alive and well!:

Here is another Barra video.  Joe included this one because the car and engine are basically stock.  It has an aftermarket crank and rotating assembly, and a big, nasty turbo.
It produces in excess of 1,300 rear wheel horsepower from 4.0L.
Joe and I love us some Australia!:

Otter Madness
Is nothing sacred?
Furry little fellas that eat shellfish and crabs and float on their backs with stomachs as rafts for babies.
Cute as can be.
And killer, too.
This video is about giant otters, and their kin.
Joe and I are amazed, impressed, and totally aware that Mother Nature® is a mother, no doubt.
Joe is fearless, but I won’t be swimming in the ocean ever again:

That’s right, we said it!
Although we didn’t say watop man, which should earn us some credit.
Joe and I stumbled upon an amazing Ub2b channel named “We Are Top“.
We will literally watch most of these incredible videos about the animals and plants in the world, because most of the information is unknown to Joe and me.
The following is an example.  We have never EVER seen a deer eat a bird.
Joe says that’s a gaggable moment.
Would that be Bambizilla?  Or Deerkong?
And look at that friggin’ goose.  Is there no safe harbor anywhere?:

Sunday Rant – 1521

Joe’s Comment – another week of COVID hysteria around the world.  Another week of cultural collapse in the West.  I can’t imagine how bad it might be in the Third World end of town.  The steady stream of illegal aliens to the U.S. of A. might be a small clue.  Or the Chinese Communist Party arming to invade Taiwan.  Or Joe Biden being the POTUS.  Wait!  That’s not the Third World!
When things get this rough, it is time to break out the Bernard Kliban cartoons.

Vaccine Thoughts
If you haven’t seen the South Park vaccine episode, you can watch it here.
The evidence of complications with COVID vaccination are growing.
The hysteria is growing too.
What to do?
Joe and I aren’t sick.
We’ve taken much time and study to understand nutrition, because our belief is proper nutrition keeps your immune system at top efficiency.
Barring catastrophic failure of an organ, or rupture of a pipeline (artery or vein), or collapse of a system or process, then it seems that proper nutrition, stress minimization, good sleep habits, and a diet tailored to you is the way to health.
Joe and I have been trying to find information about the new technologies incorporated into the 4 vaccines produced.  Here is Dr. Sherri Tenpenny to describe how this “solution” works:

There is the Great Barrington Declaration – see it here.
Is it just Joe and me, but 56,505 medical and health scientists and practitioners who have signed this declaration, most of whom are doing so against the medical establishment, seems a rather large number.  When you look at the map of the world where these people reside, it is the Western world.
Another 778,437 concerned (non medical or health scientists and non medical practitioners) citizens have also made their emark on the declaration.
Are they (and we) misinformed?
Why are these voices being ignored or stifled or condemned?
Joe says we aren’t going to get this vaccine.
I’m in agreement.
As we tell everyone, we aren’t sick.
We don’t get sick.
We have never taken a “flu” vaccine.
We aren’t about to do so.
Make up your own mind about it, but don’t condemn those who disagree with you.
If you think you will survive after taking the vaccine and we who refuse the vaccine will die, you can have our toys!
Joe asks: and vice versa?
Regarding the mask fiasco, Joe found this catchy little limerick that seems about right –

Dr. Jess Thompson
From whence did we come?
This Yale biological anthropologist, Dr. Jessica Thompson, analyzes ancient bones to try and understand or discover more about human evolution.
In this compelling video, she argues that the evolution of big-brained hominins was related to fat consumption.
You are about to learn what “percussion scavenging” entails.
Joe would like to witness a discussion between Dr. Jessica Thompson and Dr. Shawn Baker.
For now, Dr. Thompson alone will suffice:

Another presentation by Dr. Thompson on the same subject with additional detail:

The Human Trophic Level
What does that mean?
Trophic: adjective – of or relating to nutrition; concerned in nutritive processes.
A paper titled “The Evolution of the Human Trophic Level During the Pleistocene“,
published in March of 2021 in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology by Israeli scientists argues that the traditional method of inferring HTL by observing and extrapolating evidence of near time hunter gatherers is not the best methodology.  From the abstract of the article, “The memory of an adaptation to a trophic level that is embedded in modern humans’ biology in the form of genetics, metabolism, and morphology is a fruitful line of investigation of past HTLs, whose potential we have only started to explore“.
Go read the article.
Miki Ben-Dor, Raphael Sirtoli, and Ran Barkai contend that early humans, those being our predecessors, were primarily carnivores for upwards of 2 million years.
Give or take a week or two.
Joe and I find this quite fascinating.
We recently learned that the Neanderthal brain was significantly larger than that of modern man.
Since the advent of agriculture, of farming and animal husbandry, the human brain has been shrinking! (!!!)
Joe and I now know we’ve been short changed.
Like Stanley, we coulda been a contender:

We coulda been a contender.
Instead, we’re a bum.
Joe says technically we’re a mud pecker.
A carnivore diet is related to IQ.
Who can we sue for lost IQ?
Here is the CTV description of the research.

Dr. Shawn Baker
The good doctor has a bee in his bonnet today (Tuesday).
The big money big politics big control folks are stepping out again.
Joe and I listen to one or two (or whatever many) of his daily updates, daily.
A source of sane analysis of current events from the perspective of an intelligent individual.  We can’t get enough of sanity:

Another noteworthy update from Dr. Baker, Sunday morning, on the subject of science advancing.  Did you know trees are the greatest culprit in methane production and release on the planet?
We know damn well you don’t, so give it a listen:

Joe’s Garage

Relativity Space
One of the crowning attributes of “Capitalism©” is competition.
The Second World War produced/devolved some incredible leaders.
One such person was George Patton.  The quote we’re thinking of is –

The “what to do” in the case of Relativity Space was interpreted as make rockets cheap, safe, and fast.
As most of us know, that is a version of the famous Trilogy Conundrum – you can only have 2 out of 3 (and that ain’t bad according to Meatloaf):

Seems the folks at Relativity Space see it differently.
Here is a time lapse video of their 3D printer building their Terran 1 rocket’s second stage:

We all know that only some things work better being “hand built” (meaning built by the onesies with human hands).
The improvement in most things humans use, the technologies, these things are cheaper, better built, and better standardized since the advent of computer assisted and robot built tools.
An example of what Joe means comes from the automobile industry in the United States.
Starting with Duryea in 1895, at least 1900 different companies were formed, producing over 3,000 makes of American automobiles.
Joe surmises not one of these companies believed their technology, their business model, their passion, and their drive to succeed would lead to failure.
So it is with Space™ – i.e., the conquering thereof.
There are many many entities involved, for a plethora of reasons.
Filthy lucre (Pink Floyd break here).
Scientific interest.
And the Star Trek motto – “To go where no man has gone before“.
Don’t forget the last frontier moniker too, although it is more like the infinite frontier.
You get the drift – imagine all you can, and then imagine more than that.

Oddly Satisfying
It is no secret that Joe and I are technology fans.
We made our living (and still do) fixing machinery, whether it be mechanical or electrical, tool or servicing, pleasure or task related.
In the last month we’ve worked on electrical cooking devices, Ford trucks, a Jeep, a boat trailer, four computers (upgrading to SSD can be so fun!), household electrical wiring, wooden structures, furnace mechanical and controls, heavy (class 8) truck Spring-time start and clean (’93 Peterbilt), a lawn tractor, a wireless Internet bridge, and some other stuff we just don’t recollect.
Oddly satisfying (as Quinn of “BlondiHacks” fame proclaims at the appropriate times).
Here is some stuff that Joe and I also find oddly satisfying: watching some huge machinery get launched:

Cadaver Times
Joe and I stumbled into this Ub2b channel today – Institute of Human Anatomy.
Worth subscribing to, but eating and watching simultaneously is a delicate balance.
We have been life long organ donors and body donors; we carry a card in our wallet, and we are registered to be carved up à la carte after the ticker tocks.
Our recent travails stimulated our interest in the following subject – What Alcohol Does to Your Body.
Complete with real cadaver cutaways:
